Geophysics Computing Lab Selected for Energy Demand Management Core Technology Development Project

[Jeonju=GeoVis] The Geophysics Computing Lab at Jeonbuk National University announced on the 29th that it has been selected for the Energy Demand Management Core Technology Development Project (Development of Technology for Securing CO2 Geological Storage Stability).

This project is being carried out under the lead of Jeonbuk National University with support from the Korea Institute of Energy Technology Evaluation and Planning (KETEP).

A total of 270 million won in research funding will be provided, and the project period is three years, from November 1, 2021, to October 31, 2024.

This project focuses on developing core technologies for securing the stability of CO2 geological storage technology and is expected to contribute to the realization of a future carbon-neutral society.
