Students Yun-Ha Jung and Hyun-Wook Jo Selected for Energy New Industry Innovation Sharing University Undergraduate Research Program

[Jeonju=GeoVis] Yun-Ha Jung and Hyun-Wook Jo, students from the Computational Geophysics Lab of Jeonbuk National University (JBCGL), announced on the 29th that they have been selected for the Energy New Industry Innovation Sharing University Undergraduate Research Program.

This selection was made in November 2021 as part of the Innovative Sharing University for New Energy Industries project in which Jeonbuk National University participates.

The selected research project is titled 'Development of GPU-based Parallel 3D Seismic Imaging Program', and the research will be conducted for six months, from July 1, 2022, to December 31, 2022.

This research focuses on developing seismic imaging technology using high-performance GPU computing technology and is expected to provide advanced research experience at the undergraduate level.
