Professor Ju-Won Oh Selected as Deputy Director of Honam Region CCUS Innovative Talent Nurturing Program

[Jeonju=GeoVis] Professor Ju-Won Oh of the Computational Geophysics Lab of Jeonbuk National University (JBCGL) announced on the 3rd that he has been selected as the Deputy Director of Jeonbuk National University for the Honam Region CCUS Innovative Talent Nurturing Program.

The selected project, 'CCUS Innovative Talent Nurturing Program for Greenhouse Gas Reduction in the Honam Region', will run for a total of 2 years and 8 months, from July 2022 to February 2025.

This project will be promoted through joint research with Chonnam National University, aiming to develop CCUS technology and foster specialized personnel in the Honam region.

Professor Ju-Won Oh stated, "I will contribute to fostering excellent talents in the CCUS field based on my expertise in CO2 storage monitoring using seismic imaging technology."

This project is expected to play an important role in achieving carbon neutrality and establishing a CCUS technology ecosystem in the Honam region.
