Professor Ju-Won Oh Discusses Korea-Middle East Joint Research Achievements During KAUST Visit

[Thuwal=GeoVis] Professor Ju-Won Oh of the Computational Geophysics Lab of Jeonbuk National University (JBCGL) announced on the 3rd that he visited King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Saudi Arabia from November 12th to 17th, 2022.

This visit was supported by the Korea Research Foundation (NRF)'s Korea-Middle East Special Cooperation Project and was promoted to discuss the achievements of the three-year joint research and explore ways to activate student visiting research.

Professor Ju-Won Oh visited KAUST's SWAG (Seismic Wave Analysis Group) research team, which is where Professor Ju-Won Oh worked as a postdoctoral researcher. In-depth research discussions were held based on a long-standing cooperative relationship.

During the visit, both sides shared the latest research trends in geophysics and discussed in detail plans for continuous academic exchange and expansion of student exchange programs.

This visit is expected to further activate research cooperation in the field of geophysics between Korea and the Middle East.
