Professor Ju-Won Oh's Co-translated 'Basic Geophysics' Textbook Selected for Sejong Book Academic Category

[Jeonju=GeoVis] Professor Ju-Won Oh of the Computational Geophysics Lab of Jeonbuk National University (JBCGL) announced on the 30th that an academic book he co-translated has been selected for the 2023 Sejong Book Academic Category.

The selected work, 『Basic Geophysics, 3rd Edition』 (co-translated by Lim Hyung-rae, Eom Ju-young, and Ju-Won Oh), was recognized for its value in the Sejong Book Academic Category, organized by the Publication Industry Promotion Agency of Korea.

This book is a textbook that systematically organizes the basic principles and latest research trends in geophysics at the undergraduate level, greatly contributing to the development of geophysics education in Korea. In particular, it received high praise for explaining complex geophysical theories in an easy-to-understand manner and providing abundant practical application examples.

Sejong Book is an excellent book selection project sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and organized by the Publication Industry Promotion Agency of Korea, which annually selects and awards books with high academic value and social contribution.

Professor Ju-Won Oh participated in the translation work based on his expertise in geophysics, contributing to improving the quality of geophysics education for domestic readers.
