Geophysics Computing Lab Participates in AGU Conference and Visits LBNL
[Berkeley=GeoVis] Professor Ju-Won Oh, PhD candidate Sea-Eun Park, and master's student Yun-Ha Jung from the Computational Geophysics Lab of Jeonbuk National University (JBCGL) announced on the 2nd that they attended the AGU (American Geophysical Union) conference from December 11th to 21st, 2023, gave presentations, and visited Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL).
During this visit, the research team discussed the results of their collaborative research with Dr. Nori Nakata of LBNL and had in-depth conversations about future exchange plans.
AGU is the world's largest academic organization in earth and space sciences, and it is a prestigious international conference attended by researchers from around the world every year. LBNL is a national laboratory under the U.S. Department of Energy, conducting leading research in earth sciences.
Professor Ju-Won Oh stated, "Participation in the AGU conference and the visit to LBNL allowed us to grasp the latest research trends and strengthen our international research network." He added, "We will continue to contribute to the development of geophysics through ongoing international collaborative research."
