PhD Candidate Sea-Eun Park Selected for IEAGHG International CCS Summer School
[Seoul=GeoVis] Sea-Eun Park, a PhD candidate at the Geophysics Computing Lab of Jeonbuk National University, has achieved the remarkable feat of being selected as a participant in the '16th IEAGHG International CCS Summer School' international education program.
This program targets 45 emerging researchers at the master's and doctoral levels from various scientific, social, and economic fields worldwide, providing specialized knowledge on Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) technology, which is considered a key alternative for greenhouse gas reduction. It also supports participants and world-leading experts in discussing their respective research areas and building networks.
Through this selection, Sea-Eun Park will have the opportunity to acquire the latest trends in CCS technology and further enhance her research capabilities through exchanges with global experts. This is expected to contribute to elevating the international standing of the Geophysics Computing Lab.
Professor Ju-Won Oh stated, "Sea-Eun Park's selection is a result of our lab's research level and talent development capabilities being recognized internationally." He added, "We will continue to actively support our students to play active roles on the global stage."
