Geophysics Computing Lab Visits University of Calgary for Collaborative Research

[Calgary=GeoVis] The Geophysics Computing Lab at Jeonbuk National University has successfully completed a visit to the University of Calgary in Canada to foster joint research and personnel exchange.

The research team, led by Professor Ju-Won Oh (including undergraduate students Seunghyeon Koo, Geon Cho, and Seoyun Choi), stayed at the University of Calgary from February 5th to 12th. During their visit, they met with Professor Jung-Woo Kim's Gravity and Geodynamics lab and the CREWES Consortium, led by Professor Kris Innanen.

The key agenda of this visit was to share the research direction of the National University Development Project and to establish a concrete plan for collaborative research based on it. Through in-depth discussions, both parties agreed to actively promote continuous research cooperation and the exchange of students and research personnel.

Professor Ju-Won Oh stated, "This visit was an important opportunity for our lab to expand its global research network and build practical cooperative relationships with world-class research groups." He added, "We expect to produce innovative research results in the field of geophysical exploration through future joint research with the University of Calgary."
