PhD Candidate Sea-Eun Park Selected as 1st Graduate School Presidential Science Scholar
[Seoul=GeoVis] Sea-Eun Park, a PhD candidate at the Geophysics Computing Lab of Jeonbuk National University, has been honored with selection as a '1st Graduate School Presidential Science Scholar'.
This scholarship is a newly established system this year to foster graduate students in science and engineering as future scientists, with a total of 120 scholars selected, including 50 master's students and 70 doctoral students. Through this selection, Sea-Eun Park will receive a scholarship of 2 million won per month, totaling 96 million won over a maximum of 4 years.
This selection as a Presidential Science Scholar is a national recognition of Sea-Eun Park's outstanding academic achievements and research potential, and it serves as an opportunity to once again prove the excellence of the Geophysics Computing Lab.
Professor Ju-Won Oh stated, "I sincerely congratulate Sea-Eun Park on her selection as a Presidential Science Scholar." He added, "Our lab will spare no effort in fully supporting Sea-Eun Park to grow into a key talent who contributes to the development of science and technology in Korea."
