Master's Student Ji Hyeonggeun Successfully Completes Research Dispatch at CREWES, Canada

[Calgary=GeoVis] Ji Hyeonggeun, a master's student at the Geophysics Computing Lab of Jeonbuk National University, has successfully completed his research dispatch at CREWES, University of Calgary, Canada.

This dispatch was part of the 'Energy Human Resources Development Project - Global Energy New Industry' program by the Korea Institute of Energy Technology Evaluation and Planning, and was supported by the 'Global Innovative Talent Training for Geophysical Exploration and Monitoring' project (Principal Investigator: Professor Ju-Won Oh). Ji Hyeonggeun stayed at CREWES from September 1, 2023, to March 23, 2024, conducting time-lapse monitoring research using 3D VSP (Vertical Seismic Profiling) data acquired from CaMI FRS.

Through this dispatch, Ji Hyeonggeun gained in-depth research experience and had a valuable opportunity to expand his international research network. Ji Hyeonggeun expressed his gratitude, saying, "I would like to thank the CREWES team and sponsors for their help with my research."

Professor Ju-Won Oh emphasized, "Ji Hyeonggeun's dispatch will strengthen our lab's research capabilities and serve as an important stepping stone for students to grow into global experts." He added, "We will continue to expand such international cooperation opportunities in the future."
