Geophysics Computing Lab Attends NGI-UiO-JBNU Joint Workshop in Norway
[Oslo=GeoVis] The Geophysics Computing Lab at Jeonbuk National University expanded its horizons of international collaborative research by attending the 'NGI-UiO-JBNU Workshop' held jointly with the Norwegian Geotechnical Institute (NGI) and the University of Oslo (UiO).
The workshop, held at NGI on June 7, was attended by Professor Ju-Won Oh, PhD candidate Sea-Eun Park, and master's students Jung Yunha and Hyun-Wook Jo. Researchers from NGI, UiO, and Jeonbuk National University (JBNU) gathered to present their research interests, progress, and future research directions, engaging in in-depth discussions.
In particular, Professor Ju-Won Oh and PhD candidate Sea-Eun Park from the Geophysics Computing Lab at Jeonbuk National University gave presentations, sharing their research achievements. The workshop was graced by the presence of prominent researchers including Joonsang Park, Jean-RΓ©mi Dujardin, and Maarten Vanneste from NGI, Nazmul Haque Mondol from UiO, and Manzar Fawad from KFUPM.
Professor Ju-Won Oh stated, "This workshop facilitated active academic exchange and the identification of joint research topics among the three institutions." He added, "We hope to continue generating innovative achievements in the field of geophysics through sustained international cooperation."
Meanwhile, the Geophysics Computing Lab at Jeonbuk National University has been actively pursuing joint research since signing an MOU with NGI on February 20.
