Geophysics Computing Lab Attends 85th EAGE Conference and Presents Poster
[Oslo=GeoVis] The Geophysics Computing Lab at Jeonbuk National University attended the "85th EAGE Annual Conference and Exhibition" held at NOVA Spektrum in Oslo, Norway, from June 10th to 13th, sharing the latest research trends and expanding international exchanges.
Professor Ju-Won Oh, along with PhD candidate Sea-Eun Park, and master's students Jung Yunha and Hyun-Wook Jo, attended the conference to learn about the research of various experts and experience exhibitions from world-renowned institutions.
In particular, a poster presentation was given at this conference on the research of master's student Ji Hyeonggeun, titled "Comparing 2D and 3D acoustic full-waveform inversion of the Snowflake baseline VSP dataset." As Ji Hyeonggeun was unable to attend the conference, Sea-Eun Park presented on his behalf, effectively conveying the lab's achievements.
Professor Ju-Won Oh stated, "The EAGE conference is a very important opportunity to grasp the latest technologies and research trends in geophysics and to build a global network." He added, "We will continue to support our students to actively participate in such international academic activities and grow into world-class researchers."
