[Oslo=GeoVis] Yun-Gon Park, an undergraduate student at the Geophysics Computing Lab of Jeonbuk National University, has departed for a long-term research dispatch with the Norwegian Geotechnical Institute (NGI) in Norway.

This dispatch is part of the Honam Region CCUS Innovative Talent Nurturing Program for greenhouse gas reduction. Yun-Gon Park will stay at NGI from July 6 to August 30, 2024, and will conduct collaborative research on 2.5D controlled-source electromagnetic (CSEM) modeling with Dr. Joonsang Park.

This long-term dispatch is expected to provide Yun-Gon Park with international research experience and a significant opportunity to deepen his expertise in CCUS technology. The lab requested much support for Yun-Gon Park's successful research activities.

Professor Ju-Won Oh emphasized, "Yun-Gon Park's dispatch will strengthen our lab's international research capabilities and serve as an important stepping stone for students to grow into global experts." He added, "We will continue to expand such international cooperation opportunities in the future."
