Undergraduate Student Yun-Gon Park Selected for 2024 Presidential Science Scholarship
[Seoul=GeoVis] Yun-Gon Park, an undergraduate student at the Geophysics Computing Lab of Jeonbuk National University, has been honored with selection as a recipient of the '2024 Presidential Science Scholarship'.
The 'Presidential Science Scholarship' is a newly established scholarship aimed at discovering and fostering the most outstanding students in science and technology with creativity and rich potential, thereby cultivating a world-class group of core scientists. Approximately 150 science and engineering university students are selected both domestically and internationally, with about 60 third-year students selected nationwide.
Through this selection, Yun-Gon Park will receive full tuition fees each semester and an academic incentive of 2.5 million won per semester. This is a national recognition of Yun-Gon Park's outstanding academic achievements and scientific potential, and it serves as an opportunity to once again prove the excellence of the Geophysics Computing Lab.
Professor Ju-Won Oh stated, "I sincerely congratulate Yun-Gon Park on his selection for the Presidential Science Scholarship." He added, "Our lab will spare no effort in fully supporting Yun-Gon Park to grow into a core talent who contributes to the development of science and technology in Korea."
