Privacy Policy

GeoVerse Lab (www.geoverselab.com, the "Site") automatically collects the following when you visit.

• IP address
• Country/city and network operator or organization name (derived automatically from ASN data)
• Pages visited and referring source
• A temporary browser session identifier (not tied to a login account — cleared when the tab closes)

If you use the guestbook, we additionally collect:

• The name and message you enter

• Visitor analytics (country/institution-level traffic patterns, for site operations)
• Service reliability and detection of abuse or anomalous access
• Preventing guestbook spam

Collected personal data is kept for up to one year from the date of collection, after which it is intended to be deleted. Statistics aggregated only at the country/institution level (which cannot identify an individual) may be retained beyond this period.

We do not sell or share collected personal data with third parties.

We use Cloudflare, Inc. for content delivery (CDN) and edge infrastructure, through which access data may be processed in regions outside Korea.

The Site does not use tracking cookies. A visit session identifier is stored temporarily in the browser's sessionStorage — this is not login information and is cleared automatically when the tab is closed.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. Because automatically collected data such as IP addresses is not indexed per individual, we can only respond within what our retained records allow. Guestbook entries can be removed on request via the contact below.

Detailed visit records such as IP addresses are never exposed through any public page or public API — they are stored in a separate, non-public database accessible only to site administrators.
