Investigates ocean chemistry and biogeochemical cycling — with particular focus on the ocean's role in global carbon cycling and thermohaline-circulation-driven trace-element transport — by simulating these mechanisms through coupled ocean biogeochemical-circulation models (box models, GCM coupling).
