The Energy Economics & Market Analysis Department trains students to quantitatively assess energy markets and the economic viability of geoenergy projects. Students build systematic proficiency in NPV/IRR analysis, LCOE calculation, Hotelling's-rule-based resource valuation, and market modeling, applying these methods to exploration, production, and energy-transition investment cases โ graduating as practitioners who can see a cost-benefit analysis and economic feasibility assessment through to completion on a real project, unassisted.
