[Jeonju=GeoVis] The Korea-Middle East Inter-State Cooperation Project, in which the Geophysics Computing Lab at Jeonbuk National University participated, has been successfully completed, it was announced on the 3rd.

The project, which began on December 1, 2019, was titled 'Development of Seismic Survey Data Processing and Subsurface Fluid Monitoring Technology Using Distributed Fiber Optic Systems'.

Through this project, the lab successfully secured integrated subsurface fluid monitoring technology based on 3D spatial data, which brought significant technological advancements in the field of subsurface fluid monitoring.

In particular, it presented new possibilities for real-time subsurface monitoring through the convergence of distributed fiber optic sensor technology and seismic imaging techniques.

This achievement is also expected to contribute to building a foundation for continuous technological cooperation with the Middle East region.
