Application & Simulation Operations Center

Students in this department learn to build reliable application systems by directly operating interactive simulators and workflow-execution platforms. Coursework includes hands-on operation of interactive simulators such as geosim, geoplay, and georoom; building workflow and editor execution environments with geostudio and geowave; designing session-aggregation and knowledge-precipitation pipelines on geobrain and geodiagenesis; and operating the geovault media pipeline. By graduation, students are ready to step into the field as operators who personally own the uptime and reliability of large-scale application services.
