๐ก Relational Database Theory & Knowledge Systems
The Database & Knowledge Systems Department builds students' capacity to design data infrastructure spanning relational, spatial, and graph databases. Students practice PostgreSQL/PostGIS spatial database optimization, build Neo4j knowledge graphs, and operate time-series stores such as InfluxDB and TimescaleDB, while learning advanced indexing, query optimization, and semantic search/ontology design. Graduates emerge as database engineers capable of designing, building, and performance-tuning large, heterogeneous data systems.
