REEE develops sustainable resource and energy engineering solutions by combining subsurface characterization, engineering optimization, and sustainability principles, spanning petroleum and reservoir engineering, rock mechanics and geomechanics, geothermal energy systems, hydrogen storage and production, carbon capture and storage, mining engineering and mineral resources, and nuclear energy and waste management. Its work treats the subsurface both as a resource base to be extracted responsibly and as a storage medium for CO2 and hydrogen, bridging traditional resource extraction with the clean energy transition.
