Carbon Capture & Storage Project Department

The Carbon Capture & Storage Project Department prepares students to manage industrial-scale CCS demonstration projects across their full lifecycle, from injection-site selection to long-term behavior forecasting. Coursework covers reservoir modeling and site-selection criteria, hands-on design of seismic and pressure/temperature monitoring scenarios, and the construction of full MRV (monitoring, reporting, and verification) protocols. Trained in simulation and digital-twin tools, graduates are ready to contribute immediately to CCS feasibility studies and long-term stability forecasting.
