Geohazards & Monitoring Project Department

Geohazards & Monitoring Project teaches students to detect and assess geohazards โ€” landslides, subsidence, and induced seismicity โ€” in energy project areas at an early stage. Students analyze InSAR-based deformation data, model slope stability, and complete a capstone project designing and validating early-warning systems and traffic-light protocols. Having trained across the full arc from hazard detection to response-system design, graduates are ready to contribute immediately to site safety management and hazard-mitigation planning.
